New models at the 2008 Australian International Motor Show are being overshadowed by last year’s. That’s not the cars, we’re talking about. It’s the charming young persons employed by car companies to explain the complexities of their vehicles and generally make showgoers feel welcome and important.
Photo galleries of these stand staffers are always a popular destination on the web, and data shows that their appeal doesn’t fade, with last year’s gallery getting more hits than this year’s since the show opened last week on October 9.
Since that date, the 2007 gallery has had 50 per cent more views than the 2008 one — and a total of 500,000 during its life online.
So the question is, are last year’s models better than this year’s. Again, that’s not the cars we’re asking about.
