Australia shares up 2.2 pct,Macquarie Airports jumps

  SYDNEY, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Australian stocks rose 2.2 percent on Wednesday to their highest level in more than 11 months, as strong economic data in the United States reinforced hopes of turnaround in the global economy and helped firms with large offshore earnings such as Westfield Group WDC.AX.
