Australia shares up led by miners after PM quits

  SYDNEY, June 24 (Reuters) - Australian shares opened 0.4 percent higher on Thursday, led by miners after Prime Minister Kevin Rudd was toppled by his deputy, leading to hopes an agreement can be reached over the government's proposed mining tax.
